no drip rails, how?

at 3:10 in the video, its pointed out that the roof drip rails were removed in the modification
I thought the roof drip rails were where the roof was crimped and welded together.
How could they keep the roof on if they remove the drip rails?
Here is a thread that shows a few pictures: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/9...removal-4.html
You are correct...that said, the pinch weld is on the inside of the cab so cutting off the protruding drip rail on the outside of the cab does not impact the structural integrity of the weld/cab roof. When I remove the drip rail I weld the gap and fill as needed. Care must be taken when welding this seam since there is rubber goop in the seam that oozes out and contaminates the weld bead. Here is the last one I did...
(I thought I saw somewhere new aftermarket or reproduction cabs.)
How many times have you done that ... removed the drip rails?
"I weld the gap and fill as needed"
Are you saying you weld on more metal to fill in?
Here is another cab with a little different treatment. Some prefer flush and some like a bead.
