MORNING, YA'LL. Bad news, with a small amount of good: the shop declined to wrench on the truck due to the age and the rust, he shot me straight and I can respect that, I'm not out any $. But, now I am left with a deadline quickly approaching, 2 rear shocks that refuse to come out, and a sloppy steering system, that may or may not be the cause of the binding I'm feeling.
So I ask, what tricks do ya'll use when the bottom bolts will not come free of the bushing/lower mount on a shock? I really can't say I'm thrilled to be forced to tackle the job myself, on my back in the garage. Can anyone point me to a good write-up on front tie rod replacement? And, someone mentioned re-packing wheel bearings, I may tackle that as well because the wheels will be off at some point anywho.
