52 f3 radiator relocation

Hello all, I want to relocate my pusher fan on radiator to puller fan. I would have to move radiator support out three inches towards the front to the second set of inner fender holes to do this . Does that affect fenders, hood, or anything else? Thanks, larry

Puller fans are always better than pushers since they don't block the air flow. Moving the radiator support forward to the 6 cylinder position does not affect panel fitment, etc. The fender braces will move forward with the rad support. All of the same parts are designed to fit in either location, except for the little air deflectors at the sides of the radiator, and the one across the inside of the hood.

That is good news. I'll keep moving forward, faster than a herd of turtles. Thanks, 52merc.larry

Engine pla ement

I am running a 1990 EFI SBF in my F1 with MIi IFS. I had roughly 3/4" at firewall, and also needed to clearance the IFS crossmember with oil pan and steering to exhaust manifold.. My rad placement was moved forward to make it work. Removing the power steering pump also required removing the rad to get the mounting bolts out. Hope this helps.
