Had to help my son with his 2012 F150. The truck called for Motorcraft Orange which I have read is Motorcraft version of Dex Cool? We couldn't find Motorcraft Orange so in a pinch, we put Zerex G-05 in it.
My 2018 has pink coolant in it. What will mix with it? Is there one that will mix with the two? I have used the Zerex G-05 for years, even in my diesel with good results and really don't want to have to keep 2 or 3 different kinds.
Oops you made a mistake. Both your vehicles run Dex-Cool. Sometimes it looks orange, sometimes it looks orange/pink in the Fords. The G-05 Gold coolant will screw up the chemistry. Ford has made, likely, a final change in late 2018/2019 to what I call Dew Yellow DY coolant. This is a phosphated OAT coolant. Possibly similar to what Toyota has been using for a while. It is good for 200,000 miles as an original fill. Your son's coolant now only has maybe a 30,000 mile life until you change it since the chemistry's are screwed up. The dew yellow coolant is different than the g05 gold coolant

thanks in advance
Most if not all Ford/Lincoln dealerships will have the recommended Motorcraft coolant in stock in their parts department or you can order it online from various sources if you can wait a few days for delivery.
Yeah G05 which is a HOAT coolant doesn't mix well with dexcool which is a OAT coolant. The 2012 and your truck both take specialty orange which is also known as dexcool.
Hmmmm. The Peak coolant I bought says it's acceptable to mix for ALL types of coolants. I used it in my 2008 Expedition and my sons 2011 F150. Guess I'd better re-read and see if they'll be paying for flushes and new coolant. 😜
It says, and I quote, "Coolants feature a LONG LIFE® coolant technology that is compatible for use in all automobiles and light-duty trucks, regardless of make, model, year or original antifreeze color".

Better to trust the owners manual instead of what`s written on a bottle unless the manufacturer agrees with said bottle. Very easy way for a warranty to be denied.

From the bottle and what you typed are two different things. The bottle part of what you put does not say it can be mixed. I suppose it could be read into it but I don't take it that way.

On both vehicles, the warranties have long expired. I'm not concerned after adding 2-3 pints to the reservoir. In a couple weeks when I can schedule the appointments, I'll get them in to replace the coolant. They are both due, and it's too cold here.
