Fuel pump issue

Well got the injector clamps installed yesterday afternoon along with my racor filter. Not having any more of the major problems but pressure does go down over night. Still have figured out why. Have to prime it about 3 times to get fuel back to the pump and engine then it starts up and runs good. Have 65PSI at idle and 60PSI at wide open throttle with no load. Sure is annoying to have this problem and not figure it out. Have a rebuild kit coming for the fuel bowl so hoping thats the problem.

The pressure will drain down overnight. Fuel filter cover on tight? You could get a spray bottle with soapy water, pressurize the system and start spraying connectors. If it bubbles pressurized then it’s bleeding off there too.

I took the cover off the other day and put it back on. I could try another spare gasket I have. Ill have to try that soap test and see if anything happens. There is a nice place to mount the racor though. Didnt even have to make any holes in the frame. (Seems I cant upload pictures yet).

Hey guys so I think I got it fixed. Took me awhile to work on it waiting for parts and Christmas stuff going on. Rebuilt my fuel bowl and all the o rings were quite hard and dry so probably didn't help. Also replaced the o ring on top of the fuel bowl and didn't seem to leak down last night like it has in the past. Think I got all my major projects done now in these last two warm days in PA. New 2008 tow mirrors wired in, timbrens installed, fixed my spare tire holder. Now to just fix that pesky oil leak.....
