where to go through firewall?

I need to run a power cable from the battery to an amp in the cab. Where's a good spot to go through the firewall? The vehicle type is noted in my signature....

I like to go through the firewalls where there is existing oem wire gromets. usually there is at least one medium to large rubber gromet. I just scope out the existing wire positions and the poke through the gromet carfully with a small screw driver or other sharp object. the hole may have to be enlarged to allow a 8 or 4 guage amp wire through. PLEASE BE CAREFUL PUNCHING A HOLE NEAR EXISTING WIRES OR YOU WILL HAVE A BAD AFTERNOON GUARANTEED!

This is the way to go, why start drilling holes when you already got plenty. There is one on the driver side under the dash, its directly behind the brake master cylinder if you are standing in front of the truck with the hood open. There are also some holes under the floor sill panels which just pop off.
