Try using an old screwdriver or other device and jump the 2 relay posts for about 20 to 30 secs and see if starts. Will verify not heating the glow plugs. Next check the small terminal for ground signal when key is turned on. Might not be a bad relay, might not be getting the required signal
I did check the small hot 12v key on power and it was getting it with the key on. Are you saying the other small one is a ground? How would you test it?
With KOEO, the orange wire is a grd from the pcm sending that signal. Would think, remove it and with a multimeter, set to ohm and test it. Should be 0.00....i bench tested my relay to confirm that my pcm failed to send signal. Its why i have a ground switch to activate it

So, your saying that your PCM has failed on that one circuit or that there is possibly a broken ground wire between the PCM and the relay?
Does that ground wire go directly from the GPR to the PCM, or does it hit a bus or a connector anywhere first?
lots of white smoke when starting cold is vapor, coolant leak, not enough GP heat, low compression, injector not closing, if armature clearance is too tight it will retard ignition

never really dug too far into it Souskazee...i went the path of least resistance and installed the new wire and switch..when measuring the "grd" side with it being hooked up factory wise, with gpr energized, no volts showing onboutput but 12.x showing onbthe ground side

It sounds like timmyboy found the high proof sedative.
So the gp relay is working from time to time. Went to test it today and it was working and the truck started. So that issue will be taken care of however, the other issue is still around. The truck starts ok but once it fires, sounds sorta rough but idles at lower rpms and gradually gets higher rpms until it idles normally. It doesnt sorta search for rpms at idle. It seems to run good and then while driving on flat ground will also sometimes hunt for rpms. When on and off the throttle you never notice it. Also when it warms up it doesnt seem to really have the issues. I'm not sure what else to do to really test it. No ses light has come on recently either I'll try to scan it again once I get my new gp relay and see if I have anything to work off of
