Blackvue DRxxx (650 in 2015, higher numbers now) dual front and rear, 1080 and 720 resolution, pop-out microSD card ( Blackvue brand is trouble-free)
I really like the form factor of the BlackVue dual cameras better than any other. When I sold my F250, I moved the DR650 over to the F350. Sadly, it has quit working. Lights come on, but it never goes into any kind of mode, just sits there blinking a blue light with no light on the back camera at all.
In spite of that, I'm still considering getting another BlackVue set up. They are definitely a quality product.
I put in a Thinkware F800 Pro (front & back cameras) with a Cellink B battery under the passenger seat for extended parking mode. Easy to wire - had to lightly shave the wire-tap to fit the Ford fuse panel on passenger side... but all in all a piece of cake. Picked up my stuff at blackboxmycar.com - check them out for reviews, products, etc - lots of good info there and is where I got the tip that the wire tap had to be lightly shaved (they noted it on an F150 install).
For my F150 I bought the inexpensive hard wire kit and plugged it into the fuse box. My wife's car has a convenient 12v plug so I just went with that, you just need to make sure it's wired/plugged into a power source that comes on with the ignition.
Another vote for the Blackvue. Have two 900s and two 650s in our four vehicles. The 900 has better overalll resolution and night clarity than the 650, but more money. Paired with a 128GB micro SD and the Power Magic Power wiring kit you have a fair amount of record time and the ability to record when parked without draining the battery.
FYI for anyone unaware, scammers figured out how to fake Amazon reviews and Amazon isn't able to stop it. If you consider 'good' reviews as any indicator then paste the link into fakespot.com first. It'll tell you if the reviews are legit
The two better ones you’ll find in the extensive market are the Thinkware Pro 800 and the BlackVue. I went with the Thinkware hardwired so I can have parking mode that detects motion as well all in 1080. The Pro comes with the cloud option and upgraded 128g memory card accessibility. Got mine on Amazon front and back camera with hardwire kit installed for 100.00 at Best Buy. If you want reliable quality this is the route to go.
I have the amcrest camera hardwired in on upfitter #5 (always hot so I can leave it on in parking lots). I have no complaints however I have not had any reason to review my footage so I guess that's good. I have also wondered why I can't just use my GoPro.... but I need to look into that.
