will the factory xlt wheel off my 2003 f250 4x4 fitva 2015 f250 4x4?
what is largest size tire a 2015 f250 can fit without any lift?
I had 35x12.5 on my 2003 f250 4x4 with no lift and only had a little rubbing on leaf springs at 80 or so turn. I lifted the front 2.5 inches and there is no rubbing. I’m looking at buying a 2015 f250 XL 4x4 and hate the basic wheel. Plus my 35’s are practically brand new. I want to put the 2003 aluminum wheels on the 2015 that does not have any lift. Since the 35’s cleared and only rubbed leaf spring on the 2003, I’m hoping that the same wheels and tires will clear the 2015 without rubbing since the 15 has a coil and no leafsprings to rub on. Thoughts??
No idea about max tire size, make a friend at your local tire shoppe.
The early wheels are pushed outward about 1.75" farther than the newer wheels so you would have that much wiggle room in your favor.
Snow plow prep package has stiffer front springs with a higher front axle weight rating so it will take more weight to get the big tires into rub range. Again, I do not know the specific max tire size, but I have seen late model Super Duty trucks with much bigger tires than that so your friend at the tire shoppe may be selling you a lift or a different set of tires.
Not sure what your overall plan is, but the newer wheels are not going to fit your early truck without spacers due to the different backspacing. They WILL rub. So if your plan is to trade wheels from each truck to the other, you should plan on having a different set for your old truck or you are looking at a set of spacers for at least $100 per wheel.

Are you asking about an OEM factory '03 XLT wheel or an aftermarket wheel fitting the newer truck?
I ask because you later stated the '03 wheels were 17" and ALL Super Duty factory wheels in '03 were 16" and will not fit over the brakes on '05+ trucks due to the larger brakes. In '04 there were some 18" OEM wheel options, but not on the XLT, those would all be 16". So if they are aftermarket 17"s that had the same backspacing as the OEM '03s then they will sit 1.75" farther out than stock on the newer truck which may cause bumper or fender clearance issues when turning.
