KCRebel, I ordered an MX+ ( bluetooth) this afternoon, I plan on getting a small inexpensive 7” or 8” Android tablet, I hope that works for me.
Per the Forscan techs that is about as good as it gets for scanners. I may end up doing the same thing although I already bought a Pc that is only used for forscan and the same would be said for the tablet. I guess I’m an Apple snob. Lol.
It’s been said by various folks elsewhere and I’ll agree and repeat it here: 55psi front and 50psi rear is the sweet spot when empty, in terms of both ride quality and proper tire wear.
I just got my truck and it came 65/80, not only did it ride like crap, but you could see how badly the rear was riding on the center of the tire. I also used Forscan to fix the TPMS warning, easy peasy!
I am not arguing your statement, just stating my thoughts...(riding empty) I assume with maximum sudewall tire pressure stating 80psi 70 psi would provide a uniform contact patch with the pavement, and with the same stated maximum 80 psi 50/55 psi would be inder-inflated stressing the sidewalk and generating heat. I never looked into what the tire manufacturers have to say.
I'm running my2019 f250 6.2 at 55front 52in back. The alarm sets at 50 psi. lowering the pressure does take some of the chop out of the ride. I would like to get the back down to 45. I ran 45 on my 2500HD and it was a big difference.
bushpilot- I have been looking on ScanTool.net at the MX+ to yse with my iPad or iPhone, I have a boat anchor PC...will tgat work with FORscan? It appears that it will...
I cant vouch the windows only set up (im a Mac book user)...BUT ForScan is only available / supported on Windows.

You can get the bluetooth versions for androids and they are rock solid. I'm torn between finding an alternative to use with my iPhone and iPad or getting a cheap android tablet and the bluetooth version from scan tool.
interesting comments - I use the Scantool OBDLink MX (WiFi) with ForScan Lite & my iOS/iPhone and haven't had any issues.
you can not make edits/changes w/ ForScan Lite on iOS/iPhone.
For editing/changes w/ ForScan I had to buy the Scantool OBDLink MX (Bluetooth) - because I use MacBook Pro Laptops.
Its a bit more work to run a Windows Virtual Machine (I use VMware Fusion) since ForScan only supports Windows.

Here's a link to the Toyo Tire Load and Inflation Table. It contains industry standard specs for tire sizes, inflation ranges, and maximum tire loads for multiple applications. LT tire sizes start on page 20.
To clarify, Forscan is WINDOWS only, not iOS ... and I suppose NOT Android???
Correct. Forscan on Windows allows you to make configuration changes to the truck. Forscan Lite is an app for IOS and Android that allows you to see what's going on with the truck (detailed temperatures, regen status, etc) as well as pull trouble codes. Think of it as a read-only tool. (It may allow you to clear trouble codes also)

HTH,

thanks, SDcrewzer, I took a look but cannot imagine that they are advocating running 35psi...
