Going to tackle the exhaust manifolds soon. I have a machine shop that will plane the stock ones for $30 per manifold. If I put on flat surface and cannot slide paper under exhaust flanges is it necessary to get machined?

I would have them machined because of the dissimilar metals. Which brand gasket's will you be using? Some other members have recommended Remflex. I have a set waiting for header install.
