No Throttle Response
Alright, I have a 2000 f350 7.3. I swapped cabs with a 2003 5.4 and at the time, I didnt know much and trashed all the electrical in my cab excluding the PCM. (This is my first real mechanical project, so go ahead and call me a moron). Anyways, I have pieced my dash electrical back together from various other parts trucks. So, my PCM is the original to my 2000, but my GEM is from a 99 DRW. So I'm not surprised that none of my cab electronics work (my cluster doesn't work, and none of the windows, locks, a/c, 4x4 etc.) What I don't understand is why I have absolutely ZERO throttle response. I can turn the key and start it up. Truck idles great, and can go into gear, park, neutral, reverse, etc. just fine. But have no throttle. Does the GEM control the throttle? Will reprogramming my GEM to my truck fix all my issues?

I recently had to pull my manifold , disconnect all wiring to injectors etc I had the same issue after re-assembly. After realizing there were no moving linkages,I searched YouTube on how to reset the pcm.it was very simple ,and it worked. “ How to clear Fords PCM memory after repair “ by Ford Tech Makuloco.Good luck on your project.Mine is a 5.4 gas.i would imagine the principle would be the same.
