But like the news keeps saying. The Mets were a brand new team when they lost 120. The tigers are a established team. I think Mr. Illich ought to think about selling them, he's investing plenty in the wings but forgot he also owns the tigers.

umm yea i think that the tigers need some one like the lions coach to get them back winning. but the tigers have been crapy for the past 10 -15-20? years. (they went to the wrold series in 86 right? or some ware around there right?) they have been in a rebuliding peroid for tooooo many years but maybe Illich will get some sence and go in the locker room and kick but. but thats just my $.02 .............. any way what part of michigan do you guys live
i am in lincoln park(down river area)?
The Tigers have been on the downhill slide since Ty Cobb left them way back in 1926.
But look on the bright side, someone has to be the losers, the Tigers wont be remembered by the team that lost 120 games, they most likely will be forgotten about. The funny thing would be if the Tigers made it to the post-season next year and maybe, just maybe make it to the big game. Who knows, I just want the Mariners to stop choking on getting past the season. sad, sad.....
At least they have been winning this week. I think they can only lose 119 now. If Ilitch would put the money into the Tigers like he does the Wings.... I still enjoy going to the games though.
I'm just tired of hearing all these people ip on Trammell and Gibby. I'm reading watching and hearing all this nonsense about how it's their fault and they should be fired. The Tigs have been bad for a while now, let Alan and Kirk have at least longer than one season to try to bring them back. Oh yeah, and Ilitch needs to be smacked around in my opinion for one reason alone: Comerica Park.
I'm suprised that the MLB hasn't been thinking like the NFL. NFL was talking about closing down the Cincinnati Bengals due to the fact that they haven't been competitive or had a winning season since like 1988. At least the Bengals are trying this year.
