i'm from CT and I asked the officer who made contact with the individual last night why wasn't he arrested right then and there as he admitted guilt, he gave me some very grey answer and said he will put the paperwork thru and get a warrant for his arrest and go from there. Who knows, maybe this guy is a neighbor of the mayor's secretary's uncle or something. Kinda odd how my girlfriend and I found where this guy lives and where his truck was even before the police did. I know it's only material things, and my girlfriend and I aren't injured physically from the incident, but the last two nights I haven't slept too well.

Understandable. You got yourself a nice truck and some knucklehead comes along and messes it up, along with serious potential to have injured you and your girlfriend. In short you were wronged pretty good. I can understand the frustration and lack of sleep when you've basically done the police's legwork for them and they don't seem to be too concerned about moving on it.
You want answers. You want the guilty party held responsible. All deservedly so. Unfortunately the wheels of justice sometimes turn a little slower than we'd like.
