Hey guys I could use a little help here. I want to order all my stuff for my rear end; brake shoes, brake cylinders, bearing, race, seals gaskets and gear oil. I want to order the parts but I want to make sure I get the right ones the first time.
Also. If anyone knows the best place to order the parts I would appreciate any sharing. I believe the drums are 2 inch but I haven't pulled it apart yet.
I tried using the dana library but that didn't prove fruitful.
I got my brake stuff from Rock Auto, You don't need Dana info for common, standard brake parts. If you do need Dana hard parts I recommend Torque King 4x4. They have done me right.
Thank you much. Also here's my Data plate guys. My GVWR is 8100. Front axle: 3300 and rear is 5300. I don't really understand these numbers yet. Seems like the GVWR should be 8600 lbs?
Here's my Safety Standard Certification Label. My GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rating) is 8100 lbs.
Front axle: 3300 lbs. capacity and rear is 5300 lbs. capacity.
Seems like the GVWR should be 8600 lbs? No such thing.
D0TA-BG = Dana 60 Rear Axle / 3.54-1 / No Limited Slip / 5,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

This is the Safety Standard Certification Label, glued to the left B pillar (door post) below the striker plate.
Warranty Plate riveted to the left door face below the latch, post a pic of it.
Your F250 has either 12" x 2 1/2" front/rear drum brakes, or if it has optional dual piston caliper front disc brakes, the rear drum brakes are 12" x 2 1/2."
Thanks Bill! I knew the VIN but you answered my question for shoe size. I have the front disc dual piston calipers. Now the bearings/races and seals are next.
The plate on the door that you mention I took it off when I stripped the doors. I think I have a pic of that in here somewhere. I will find it.
I'm looking at a wheel bearing/seal kit that advanced auto parts has here for $150 but it doesn't look right. I've never worked on a Dana 60 before so I can't judge if this is right but it looks like it has 4 bearings but 3 different sizes? Is the outer bearing on one side smaller in diameter?
