Screeching noise

my 2001 with a V10 started a screeching noise. It sounds like it’s coming from the He front of the engine. It’s not the belt, sounds like it might be from the fan clutch but when the engine is off and you turn the fan the clutch feels normal no play turns smooth and has resistance.

Tell us why you say it isn’t the belt may help us guess the cause.

anyhow without being there or the audio file working I guess a bearing in the idler or the belt tensioner pulleys

Based on personal experience, this one has my vote. For me it was the tensioner pulley.

I have to try the audio again but the tensioners spin freely and don’t have any play. It kind of comes and goes gets louder and softer just idling haven’t really increased the rpms.

Take the belt off and start it briefly - that will narrow things down.

I didn't have any issues hearing the audio. Sounds like a pulley bearing.

With the belt off, check ALL of the pulleys, especially the AC compressor.

Use a mechanic's stethoscope (or alternative) to isolate, if necessary.
