Buddy is over at my house installing a Hydra and the tunes that Dusty wrote him is for a PMT1 PCM and his PCM is a PMT2. Does it matter? Dusty got his VIN # to write the tunes to but it does not match.
Well we got it in and it looks like the shifts are a little off. It quick shifted from 2-3 a couple of times. I wasn’t driving but it definitely didn’t seem right. My buddy Kris said it drove like a different truck.
On the Cummins Killer and Ludicrous tunes I was expecting some smoke. I was watching in the mirror when he did some WOT burst and did not even see much haze at all. He is running a stock turbo rebuilt with the SPX billet wheel.
He he left a message for Dusty but haven’t heard from him yet.
Kris called and talked to him last week when he ordered his. He said Dusty returned his call the same day. Maybe try calling him instead of emailing him, haven’t heard of him having issues with customer service.
dpc422 is the " family " it includes multiple pcm codes my pcm is nvk4 but still dpc422 pmt pcms are also dpc 422.
as far as smoke dusty's tunes on my truck are very clean, in street shredder taking off aggressively it's only a puff then clears up pretty quick.

‘Thanks Bill, I’ll try that this afternoon. I’m really looking for a reason not to spend the money but the Black Friday sale makes it easier to justify.

Ipzd, You are correct sir. Dusty returned the call about noon today and said the tunes were indeed correct. Kris mentioned the shifting to him and he suggested him to drive it a week to get a feel for what is going on and how he thinks they need to be adjusted.

Kris ordered his about a week early to get the Black Friday deal but Dusty gave him 8 tunes for the price of 6 anyway because there was a mixup on the shipping. Seems like a stand up guy even though I haven't dealt with him. Maybe one day I'll trade in the DP F5 and get the hydra with Dusty's tunes, but for now I can't justify it. My truck runs really good on Jody's tunes.
