I have a '90 superduty with the 7.3 idi and a rebuilt e40d that has been running great for over a yr. But today I went to leave a property and my drive gear seems like it is stuck in first gear and won't shift. 2nd and first both work on their own.
but before I noticed this I went to start the trick and I usually have to lift the shifter arm up and move it to get the key to crank(I think a bad shift module on the column is why). Could I have messed something up in the column?
The fluid doesntd smell burnt, is full, shifter arm with the adjustment sleeve doesn't look like the bolt slid around. Also, my spedo stopped working about 2 weeks ago( green one in the parking brake assembly on the back of tranny).
