Manitenance for PCV system

I have a '06 Navigator 4X2, 150K miles with the 5.4 l 3v engine. The PCV arrangement is an insulated hose from the left valve cover to an electric heater of sorts that is connected to the intake. I am not having any issues. Just wondering ... Is there any maintenance that needs to be done with the system? (I am used to replacing the valve) Remove the hose and clean out, replaced hose or ???

Same kind of question for the VCT solenoids. There are screens in those and if partially plugged could impact engine operation. Pull and inspect? Clean, replace or leave alone until and issue shows up.

The 3v engine has a "maintenance free" PCV system. The PCV "valve" is integrated into the driver side valve cover, and in order to replace that valve you need to replace the entire valve cover. It shouldn't be necessary though, as it's not a traditional valve in there and it should be good for the lifetime of the engine.

Thanks for the reply. I removed the insulated PCV hose. I was expecting to see some build up. It was pretty clean so I just reinstalled it.
