Can anyone tell me anything about MY vin# F70EVY90796 I was told it has the original motor and it's a 390, so I don't think it is. Any help at all would be appreciated
Thanks snydley
I was told it has the original motor and it's a 390. 390 is not original!
F70 = F700 (gas).
E = 361 2V or 4V FT engine.
V = Kentucky Truck Assembly Plant.
Y90796 = 1977.
FT engines look similar to FE engines (352/360/390 etc), but that's where the similarity ends. FE's were not installed in 500 and larger series trucks.
Please ask further questions in the LARGE TRUCK forum, most members of this forum have F100/350 pickups.
But we don't mind at least saying hi and welcome anyway Snydley! And interesting to hear what goes on in other platforms too.
But yeah, good advice to check out the big truck group.
