Decoding vin #'s "again"
Guys,
I'm sorry to be a bother but, I just purchased a 73 Highboy and I would really like to know what I've got by the vin number. Can you help me decode my trucks vin #?
It is F26YRR66938
Really appreciate it!

Y - 360 2v (what, you thought it had a 390? Nope!)

R - San Jose assembly plant

R66938 - June 1973? Damn, I don't remember now.

Welcome.

NO 1973/76 4x4 came with a 390. The ONLY V8 engine for these years was the 360 2v.
