It was brought to my attention that the orange coolant used in our diesels tends to clogged the EGR valves through the cylinder walls will erode them and eat through the head gasket. I was recommended to get the green one anyone heard of this situation thanks
VC-3-B Specialty Orange is the only coolant you should have in your 6.7L PSD.
Not so fast! My 2019 F-350 6.7L came with a supplement to the Capacities and Specifications listing a new coolant for the 2019's. It is Motorcraft Yellow, VC-13DL-G.
No additive strength checking or additives required. Scheduled Maintenance interval 200,000 miles (or ten years).

That's sure to cause some confusion even at a dealer but this seems like a change for the better.
It's interesting because he had said that it was on the 6.0 . Was this an issue on those models like I said this is all new to me on the coolant situation I just broke 60,000 miles on my truck
Yes, the 6.0L has some problems with the EGR cooler plugging
The 6.7 got a new OAT (Organic Acid Technology) based coolant that has no Nitrates like the previous generation of coolants.
The new coolant has Carbolyxe ( how every you spell it) in it that coat the metal and prevent corrosion. Hence the need to periodically check your coolant and make sure the anti corrosion additives are still strong enough to protect the engine. You will see a "Check Coolant" message every 15,000 miles or so. Get your test strips out and check the coolant.
It's great to hear that the 19's have moved on to a newer version of the coolant.
So does anyone know if switching to the green or the yellow is good better than the orange just trying to figure this stuff out is confusing happy Veterans Day I know it's a little late
