2000 7.3 PSD EBP SENSOR READING?
2000 EXCURSION 7.3 PSD 225000 MILES, EBV TURBO MOUNT TO DELETE BUTTERFLY,GTP38R EDGE TOW PROGRAM,
AFTER LOSS OF MPG CHECKED EBP , READ 17.7 KOEO. ORDERED NEW DPFE3 AND CHECKED BY JUST PLUGGING IN AND DROPPED TO 14.7. WILL CLEAN TUBE OUT AND INSTALL NEW SENSOR.
QUESTION IS WOULD THIS EFFECT MPG? SOME TREADS BEFORE SAY IT DOEASNT DO ANYTHING, IF SO WHAT COULD BE CAUSE OF LOSS OF MPG?

ypu are in the 94-97 forum as well, but we can still point you in the right direction. Do you have gauges or use software to monitor the truck? Have you seen a drop in boost or increase in EGTs? Boost leaks are not your friend. I would start there and check your IC boots and the intake plenums for leaks. There are several good threads on how to build an adapter that goes on your intake and use an air compressor to build pressure, then use soapy water to check for leaks. If you look at the IC boots and they look oily then they may be leaking

i have only the diagnostic from edge evolution programmer to ck ebp. no other read outs. thinking about getting an app like torque to see more but info. but have read mixed reviews on sites-some work is and some don't. i have new boots and valve cover stiffener to install. going is slow recovering from surgery. will install items and post results. any recommendations on resonalble app that work well on 7.3 psd? thank you for reply.
