I have the dreaded E40D with 145k miles. Majority of the time, It runs great, But there are random days when it just sucks.
Ive been looking around at shift kits for abuot the last 2 weeks...And i know that the 2 biggest ones are B&M and Transgo. Both are about the same money....Which is the better one? Both involve modifying the valve body...How hard would this be to do with basic tools in my driveway...
Also, B&M has the electronic shift enhancer....How are these? Are they worth the 50 bucks? I've heard that the are both good and bad. Usually the results are better on a newer E40D with Updates. Would it work in my 94?
I don't have a shift kit in my E4OD yet so I couldn't tell you from my own experience, but from everything I have read (mainly here) the Transgo is better. Lots of people have complained about B&M shifting way too hard. As far as I'm concerned I'm going to get the Transgo when I put a kit in mine.
