wiring question(s)

short ask:
Reverse light wire --- what color is it?
Running light wire --- what color is it? i think this one is blue with brown stripe...

long story:
wiring up, ahem, a few LEDs to my rig and using a switchpro controller (rather than upfitters). i have two circuits that accept "triggers." i want the first trigger to activate some running lights. i want the second trigger to activate some accessory back up LEDs.

thanks in advance....

Resurrecting..

Did you ever figure this out? Did you have the halogen or led headlights? I have had a Switch-Pros controller on the shelf for a while waiting until I ran out of upfitters, and I have.

I have one of these on my f150 and ended up making a custom inline harness that went between the factory loom and the passenger side headlight to pull running light and high beam power for triggers. I may do the same on my f350 unless there is a simpler solution.

Where are you looking to tap into them at? At the lights themselves, or near the BCM? I'm digging through my diagrams for you, but before I get too far, I need more detail.

Oh awesome, thank you! If tapping into the main ecm loom, I’d much prefer to do so.near a headlight plug.

Amazing, thank you! Next step is getting the connector numbers to make a T-harness with, then I’m off to the races.

If you're doing any wiring, I'd very strongly suggest investing in a test light and verify all of the wiring tips you get on here. The wiring advice you get on an open forum should be used as a rough guide only. I know a lot of people here know these trucks inside and out, but there are also a lot of goobers who shouldn't be giving advice (that is absolutely not directed at anyone in this thread at all). Just my $0.02, always verify.

I certainly can’t argue this! The wiring colors I posted are not from my own testing, they came from the technical pubs. Good luck!

I’ll definitely check them with a test light, but it sure is nice having a starting point

I haven’t put mine in the f350 yet, but I have one in my f150 that replaces the sunglasses cubby in the top console. The Mount is 3D printed and was originally designed for a raptor, but fits any of the 13 gen style overhead consoles. I can send you a pic of that if you like. The only one I can find right now is at night before I put the black labels on the buttons.

I hate to lose the sunglasses tray but that is a clean setup I prefer the factory look. Overall how do you like the switch pro module it’s around $600 with that mount which seems quite high for a switch controller.

Man, it's amazing. It will do all the things you could want it to. For example, on my 150, my intercooler pump and aftercooler fans are set to a 1 min timer to keep running when I shut the truck off, on my Rzr, I use it to control my shock stiffness and have the low/med/high buttons set to be mutually exclusive - when I push low, the other two are turned off automatically, on my 350, it is set to only toggle my offroad lights on when the high-beams are on. It is very granular with its controls, and the remote Bluetooth functionality is nice too. Yeah its expensive, but nothing else comes close. If you wont use all the cool features, its probably not worth the price, but if you do, absolutely is.
