wiring harness question
Hi all, let me start by saying I've used the search on here as well as Google and the diagrams available from autozone. All I can say about the autozone info is that it's about the same quality as the parts they sell!
My truck has a build date of 8-89 but was sold and titled as a 1990, the under hood color codes on the harness also mesh with the info on the '90 model.
I used a lot of info that I found on Supermotors.com, they showed that the harnesses have variations, it seems like '87-'89 were basically the same, 1990 is all by itself as is 1991. 1992-1996 seem to be almost identical.
I'm trying to find what the color code on the wire is that plugs into the e-brake switch for my '90 F250. I know it seems trivial to some but I want to be 100% sure that everything is returned to original condition in regards to the wiring harness. The PO made a hack job under the dash, I've been busy trying to un-puck it to get the truck from constantly popping the brake light fuse.
If anyone can give me a solid answer about my question, it would be greatly appreciated!

I have one of those that is un-accounted for, the plug was snipped off. This is why I'm bashing the autozone info, they show it as being purple/white which isn't possible under my dash!.

The wire color was purple with a white stripe in 1988.
I do not know the color in 1989 or 1991 but I show light blue wire with a black tracer or stripe in the 1990 & 1992 diagrams. The 1993 - 1996 has a different color wire, light green with a red stripe.
