Hello all , just got back home from Chico , it’s not good up there , I took a truck load of Blankets , warm jackets and clothes up , I posted on my neighborhood watch site that I was going up to check on three family’s in Paradise , most likely placed in a shelter , that if anybody wanted to donate I’d be at the bofA at 4:30 , to my surprise within 1 hour the back of my truck was totally full , some people had went out and bought well over 200 bucks worth of warm jackets , blankets and toiletries , then all the warm shirts and pants socks, totally Amazing Effort by a lot of Citizens of this community, very smokie and started to see burnt cars and trucks being hauled out , they were all wrapped in cellophane and I’m sure there were bodies going to be identified, it’s was a very Somber day in Gridley and Chico , here’s a idea of what Jerry Brown has done , the Blood is on all of there hands now.

Everybody is bad mouthing our president for what he said , cutting of federal funds , that statement was not for the Victims, let’s get that straight right now , it was ment for the Theft of our trusted Goverment in the state of California, and the democratic shenanigans that went on at Voting , we need to Investigate , we need a back bone that will fight for the citizens of this state and not try to Tax or rob us every cent .

You sir, are a gentleman and a scholar.

Never been a fan of Jerry Brown, my dad wasn't either, way back when.

What's happened up there is a total tragedy. I fixed the link you provided because it was a link through Facebook. BTW - you should take anything you read on Facebook with a bucket (not a grain) of salt. A lot of partial truths, and a ton of lies float around on that platform. My general rule is to just say no to Facebook. The quotes from Jim Patterson are considered mostly, or completely false by Politifact. Read their analysis here. The $52 million was NOT designated just for dead tree removal. The tree removal portion was more like 1-2 million. Read the Politifact story to get more of the truth.

We are not suppose to stir political fires or air personal beliefs on this forum. I get that. You guys can all do your own research, believe whatever you want to, and form your own opinions.

Free thought & free speech are important. We should be able to respectfully express ourselves. It's okay to have your own beliefs and viewpoints. And yes, both the left and right, treat information and facts like a salad bar. You pick what you want, then dress it up to your liking. All the while, leaving behind what you don't like. It's okay. People do the same with religion. The cable news channels do exactly the same thing. Look at the media. Has a liberal newspaper once posted a good photo of Mr. Trump, without a scowl? Yet, they repeatedly aired Ted Cruz commenting on deviant sexual activity with rodents.

I am extra thirsty this Thursday because of all the smoke. That said, I am grateful it is smoke instead of flames. My heart goes out to all the people in and around Paradise.

Thanks , that link was stored in my Facebook menu of links , I only use realiable sources of info to share with all , Facebook really should be Banned but I enjoy watching my distant family with pictures they post , 51/50 because this is a Nor Cal Chapter page and not in one of the Engine make or model pages I felt compelled to share what Moonbeam did to the state of California and to announce that PGE one of the most notorious killers have killed more than any gun ever will in this state.but yet the state and PUC protects them like a baby while they overcharge and blow up or burn a City near you.have a great Day all , Oh still looking for our neighbors in paradise MIA

Every lawmaker in The State voted "YES" to pass a State Bill which would have held utilities responsible for maintaining the area around their power lines. And Moon Beam shoots it down.

Every lawmaker, both Democrat & Republican! When was the last time that happened? No other law in the history of The United States received a unanimous vote of affirmation by every lawmaker, both Democrat & Republican.

He's on his way out. Anyone willing to take bets on who his last minute "pardons" will be?

I wonder what Gruesome Newsom do. Despite his very Left leaning presentation, The Gavinator does have some right wing tendencies. As a member of The Board of Supervisors of San Francisco, he spearheaded "Care Not Cash". Essentially, it cut the cash welfare payments to the homeless. For what it's worth, he also slept with his best friend's wife.

I bought my very first bicycle in Paradise. My first set of wheels. I rode that bike along the freight train tracks that used to run through Chico every evening. The train conductor finally got so tired of looking out for this kid grabbing on to the locomotive for pedal free propulsion, that he invited me to put the bike on the engine car deck, and let me drive the train! That was the first time I drove a diesel. I was there every evening like clockwork.

Somehow, those memories make the tragedy of Paradise lost all the more destabilizing on a personal level. We don't realize what we have until it is gone. And although anyone I once knew up in that area is several decades out of touch, I can't help but wonder if the folks who sold me that bicycle decades ago are among the 660 folks missing, or the 63 who perished.

It has been said there are only but 6 degrees of separation between us all. We breath the smoke of this fire, and we also feel the somber burn inside. Even if we are safe, we are only 6 degrees from this tragedy, and some are yet closer still.

Thank you 04BadFord, for your act of service to those immediately affected.

Death toll now over 70, and they've raised the MIA count to over 1000. The immensity of this tragedy is almost incomprehensible.

My wife has family in Paradise and they lost everything in the Camp Fire. They posted a pic on FB of the remains of the house. Foundation and chimney are all that you can see in the burned rubble.
