Looks like Newsom took it 60 to 40 (or close to that). That's a pretty clear direction for now.
I am happy to see that the daylight saving time decision is also 60 to 40. Still a few hurdles to go, but I look forward to the day when our clocks stop shifting around twice a year.
I don't really care if it's always PDT or PST, as long as it doesn't change. If it gets dark too early, I'll go to bed earlier. if it stays dark too long, I'll get up later.
Based on what I heard, I think it will be permanent saving time, but I don't really know.
I learned this morning that China uses one time zone in spite of the fact that they span the equivalent 5 or 6 time zones. So I got to thinking that we could do something like that too. Why not just all operate on GMT? People could get up & about at whatever time worked locally, but the time would be the time, and we would all use the same time.

It will always be this way. California has clearly been a solid blue state for decades now, even when the Governator, who is a Republican, was running the state, it was a blue state.

The problem with this prop is they want to change the time going the wrong way. We should be like Arizona and Hawaii, on Standard Time all the time. This prop sends the clock the wrong way.

Edit: With 3.6 million more registered Democrats versus Republicans, I don't see this state ever becoming red again, not when that gap continually increases every year.

I think this sort of thing swings like a pendulum. Maybe many or most of us won't be around long enough to see it, but I'm sure it will swing the other way. My biggest issue is that it seems to swing too far sometimes.
