Been debating this, I have one side clip on the middle plug broken, doesn't seem to effect anything but I'm leaning towards a new harness or just replacing the connector. I'd have to buy a pin tool, any recommendations?
Also a thumbs up on the Atlas 40, if anything for the throttle response and quicker turbo spin up.

Let me look in my speciality tools and I can get one that will do the job without costing the NASA budget.
I have stuff from DMC tools all the way down to simple no name tool store things and all was gotten for
a job that the rest could not do.
One thing I forgot to say. The front plug is the only one you muct replace by hand the rear two come
on a new injector harness. So it the problem is the back two and the harness id looking ratty and or
the injector plugs are showing there age you might think about just replacing that harness with the new
updated harness. They updated the location of one of the stud bolts to lessen the strain on the harness.
The good thing is Ed’s got you coved on the Ficm , 03/04 and late built 04 rubber antishock grommets are over the bolt under the Ficm , 05 design is good because you know they will stay in place when you pull it out , for some odd reason ( couldn’t be heat ) my clips are all broke , had to Zip tie the connections , when I went to do Injectors just a couple weeks ago , the zip ties were gone, connections are still in tight, I think I’ll still Thread in a tie for piece of mind before I go onto a long drive on a dark and lonely hiway East of Omaha .
oooooohhhhhh yea rock on , you know I’m a sharp dress man with cheep sunglasses too ,lol , or was that a cheep dressed man with Pug sunglasses , I do like Walmart ,lol
Received my new FICM from Ed at FICM Repair with the Atlas 40 tune. Love it. My truck starts and runs better. Its like having a new truck. Highly recommend Ed for your FICM needs. Thanks for all the tips and info.
If you really want to live on the wild side you start with the econ tune then move onto the Atlas 40 then the 80 and finally end up with the Hercules tune. How do you do that you ask? You just buy the tuner and the set of tunes to play with. You can do it
one of two ways. You can do a rental thing and get the deposit back once you send the device back or you can buy it and have the tuner handy for any time you want to swap things around. My truck came with the Hercules in it but that FICM was damaged
by a bad alternator that the PO had in it. When I got the truck some of the first things I did was to swap in a 140A and the batteries from my project truck. Too bad that the PO had driven it long enough on that bad alternator and stressed the FICM to the failure
point. I was looking at and wondering what the Hercules tune would be link and it is really poppy. Almost like driving a gas truck it rolls on so fast. But with in a few miles of putting that FICM in the voltage started to take a dive. I was getting dips below 45
as I was driving it home and talking with Scott at FICMrepair on the phone. So I got home and swapped the FICMs around again and took the alternator I had in a box in for a test on the bench. It was putting out about 11.8VDC. All in all I have gotten very
good service from everyone at FICMRepair.com - FORD Powerstroke 6.0 FICM Repair, PHP Tuning and Truck Parts
With some things I have planed and some things I just want I think my bank account will not love me too much. We get to pick some things in life and for my addiction I pick tools, engines and parts. Most
times I get to keep some of what I have into a thing. I will bet you that there is not any person that takes drugs that can say that they get something back from the money they burn
Yeah, I bought a new 140amp alternator as well. When I talked with Ed I just didnt have the $$ to do it but, I think I'm going to bite the bullet and go for the large "Ambulance" alternator to make sure I keep plenty of volts going to FICM. I will have to upgrade the wiring though to handle the energy transfer. Ed has all that. I dont want to go higher than Atlas 40 tune as 1 I dont have any way to monitor my EGT and 2, I dont have the upgraded ARP head studs. So far the Atlas 40 had been good, I'm very pleased with it. Will be taking a trip to Las Vegas in a few weeks. Can't wait to see how truck does on fuel milage.
If you are not running added things like audio amps, 140 gets you what you need with a reduced diameter pulley. More then that benefits for 90 seconds, not so much afterward.
This is a comparison from the stock 110a to a 140a with the small pulley. I haven't uploaded the graph for the 140a stock pulley publically. The line colors are mixed so that's a screw-up. But you can use the 140a graph and compare what you are seeing for volts currently. Be aware though that these voltage readings are at the battery or alternator, harness reading from the OBD port of power port will be down about 0.5v.
And the price is low enough that if you still want more power you can always go to a higher amp unit.
