Yo Wesley and Colorado..you guys notice a drop in V, when gp's cycling?
Absolutely, drops down to 10.5 -10.9. Truck running sees (GPR off) 13.9ish +/- but 14.5 at Alternator so either there’s some drop with everything running like radio, blower, AC, lights etc or the unit itself isn’t real accurate.

is that right!..Reason i ask, my gpr is manually activated. Flip a switch, and my led illuminates. On a hunch this morning, i flip it, led lights but to my dismay, my new usb charger with digital volt reading stayed at a steady 12.4v. Could gp/s be bad resulting in my volt reading?

‘So you didn’t clarify is 12.4V with your relay on but is the truck running? I’d grab the multimeter and see what it has to say when you flick the switch.
Key at acc position, switch is flipped, led is illuminated and digital volts reading 12.4v. Flip switch off, no more illuminated led, key at acc and digital volts reading 12.4 as well...can bad gp/s create this scenerio? No wonder she still a hard/no start when cold..(mountain weather)

I would guess absolutely... sounds like it’s shorted, enough voltage to get the light to illuminate but doesn’t trip the GP’s. I replaced mine with the Stancor and have been very pleased.
I did something similar when I installed my head unit. However, this is just a USB extension that plugs into the back of the head unit. I plug in my phone and get my Apple Car Play. Much better music and driving directions than a BT connection.
I installed my voltmeter USB charger in the other cigarette lighter hole when I did my F650 dash and gauge install.
You guys are leaving me in the dust. I still have cassette tapes in my console for Christ's sake. I like the voltmeter readout plug. That is slick. Looking on Amazon now.

you know these trucks well. I did a thread not long ago about I/S labeled relays. Quickly, Cletus jumped in and reminded us how them are for starters, not glow plugs(he had a great thread between the 2), anyway, taking into consideration, i pulled the Frank Fritz move, into bundling the wires onto 1 relay, the AIH relay..Within completing, and KOEO setting and led switch NOT flipped, i had a faint led illumination..long story short, the blue wire for the AIH remains "hot" at 3.xx volts, thus, keeping led lit...ill take a gander later with multimeter and my uvch plug w/wires readily at my disposal for testing..
Army..looks killer, man. Ia lso have the manual f650 in my auto 02. Now, seeing your setup, gunna order anutha and afix in same location..contrast well with other gauges.

tested yesterday, 12.4v on output lug of gpr, when switch is flipped...headscratcher..gunna ohm gp's ina few
Glow plug time..all were "open"..dahum..Yo Pete, now be a good time to do the solenoid shim kit. Would hate to hit a snag since i need this truck starting monday, everyday til mid december Bought them 7yrs ago
