Mine needed about 1/4' more clearance, so once you have the DP out you could adjust the pinch weld. The DP fits right in this little corner of the firewall pinch weld.
So dent in the pinch weld and a dent in the DP and you should be good to go? I’m just worried cause my exhaust as it sits is about 50 thousandths away from my cross member and I can’t go towards the passages side anymore.
Yeah.....no
Other people have said this is the nicest kit out there, I’m simply looking for people who have used this kit. Your speculation is simply a guess, i don’t mind spending more money for a better kit.
And that’s exactly it I’m not going to spend 1600$ for CSD’s kit and a new ic pipe when his DP sucks.
Care to share any of the links of people have used the kit?

We look forward to your detailed review of the Turbonetics T4 kit.
Just to be clear, the CSD kit is not $1600 and you are adding the expense of the passenger side CAC tube on your own. Just like I am adding powder coat fees, heat wrap costs, etc...
The CSD downpipe most certainly can use some adjusting, but if that is the only problem I am facing next week, I will be good with my purchase.
In addition, the MBRP 4" downpipe I installed a few years ago was a pain in the *** to get installed too.
Your money, your truck, your time... We are here to provide experience and lessons learned, not convince you of what kit you would be happiest with.
Maybe you should keep everything you have and get a KC38R and tell us how that works out for you. I have seen some favorable posts for it, but not nearly as many videos, posts or threads as I have about the SXE.

The pinch weld is thick so you're better with getting after the DP. My advice. Pull off the old uppies, mount the turbo mounting plate and the turbo....fit the downpipe. That way you won't be fighting for room with the new bellowed uppies in there.
Edit...You can't mount the turbo without the uppies on the CSD kit.

Oh I haven’t committed to buying this kit, I’m currently looking at what’s the best option for me.
Im particularly waiting for you to put your kit in, if you have no issues and fly clear with it I may go with CSD and a new IC pipe. My current pipe is powder coated and would look dumb with a bare pipe opposite of it.
I definitely don’t want a KC38R, too hot of a turbo and doesn’t flow enough compared to a s364.5sxe.
I greatly appreciate everyone’s comments on how their install went, makes me knowledgeable on what to look out for.
My current DP wasnt that hard to install, only took about 15 minutes the first time and only like 2 minutes now.
Whenever you make the post on how your install went I surely will be reading it and from there decideing on what I’m doing.
Post 7 in that thread comments on the kit. Maybe read before you comment?
I did...maybe you should. That post was from when DFI built and sold the kit. It has since been sold to another company. I want to see reviews from current day kits not from 4 years ago.

DFI bought the kit from Turbonetics, Obsession bought it from them, if you know anything about getting the patent from another company you get the prints for the kit. So the basic principle of the kit is the same, maybe some small changes. I do not care if this kit is the best out there, I’m simply trying to find the best kit for me, looking for peoples opinions on it. https://www.powerstrokenation.com/fo...s/66346?page=3
heres another forum on it, beginning of it’s useless but kinda explains some stuff near the end. Someone on a Facebook group also commented on this kit but I can’t find the comment anymore.
There was a thread last week where this kit got mentioned. (Might have been on another forum). But this kit's piping was made/coated some special way I can't remember that technically made them a lot higher quality and they should keep the shine. However, I think you pay quite handsomely for this quality.
Yes 1900$ for this kit. That’s why I’m weighing my options.

Once again all old posts. Just because you get all the prints doesnt mean you get the same kit (good or bad)...me personally, I would want to see current day reviews.

Could be true,
id love to see reviews of the current kit too. Would make this a lot easier.
I have the current owner of the patents phone number so I may text him some questions. Do you have any you’d specifically ask him? So far the pedestal and up pipe design looks the same, visually, can’t tell about the IC pipes and Y pipe.

I have his contact info as well and have spoken with him.
