Picked up a 4bbl intake manifold that is supposed to be for a 390. not sure what it came off of. it looks similar to the 2bbl I have on my engine now but there are lot of differences. not sure where I can look up casting #s and if it will fit properly. any help is greatly appreciated.
Ford FE manifolds will fit all Ford FE motors. Couple of cool things this one has are 4V, a breather port in the rear you can hook up to a air cleaner and a oil filler that lets you run solid valve covers. The only drawback is that it weighs 100lbs. Only my opinion.
I used a cherry picker and a lift plate to remove/reinstall my OE manifold. Wasn't too bad doing it that way, just needed extra help to operate the picker when reinstalling.

This is a 1958/64 FE manifold from a car, due to the oil fill tube. Specifically it's from a 1964 Thunderbird (C4SE) 390.
All 1958/64 FE engines have a oil fill tube, rounded valve covers without holes for smog valve/oil cap.
These blocks have a different bolt pattern on the block where the rubber insulators bolt on than 1965/76 FE engines.
Casting date code 4D15: Cast April (D) 15, 1964 (4).
