New Valair HD organic clutch, pressure plate, TO bearing and pilot bearing a few hundred miles back and everything has been great. Last couple days I've noticed a slight popping every once in a while upon clutch pedal release. I've crawled underneath and watched while my wife pushed the pedal in and out and can't see anything binding. Any ideas?
It is really easy to do them. Not saying that is the issue.
Do you only hear the pop with truck running? Is it a certain gear only?
Yeah, Hit Man, the popping noise is real slight and I feel it in the pedal more than hear it. Does it running or not. Truck seems to shift as good as ever.
Hmmm, lemme see if I have them still. It is pretty self explanatory when in there.
Try to search for me posting info when I did mine. Box comes out easier sideways.
Think about the master cylinder Heim joint mod too
I've read a lot of your post on this site and you are a wealth of info. I and many others I'm sure appreciate you sharing. I've looked and I think you've nailed my problem. Pics would be a great help. Where did you find the parts?
They were OEM Ford, cannot recall. Ebay Ford dealer or Amazon maybe. I think I shelled out $40 for them and $10 for a sixer of tallboys. That Heim guy, tons of retailers have them, I bought mine from some website that made it. Midnight Mods?
You may want to bleed the clutch if the fluid is gross, I just did via gravity. Worked great!
