ABS Light
my ABS light was never on. Today I replaced a hub assembly and disconnected the abs wire when removing the old assembly. I had started the truck up while it was on jack stands to turn the wheel to get to the bolts and ABS light came on since the wire was disconnected. Now the new hub assembly (Moog Heavy Duty) is installed and ABS wire plugged in. I started the truck and the ABS light is still on. Will this reset itself or does this mean there is something wrong with the sensor in the new hub assembly? Thanks guys

It may go off by itself. I have a 2006 F350 that I’ve never done abs work on that sometime the abs light comes on, but eventually goes out. There’s no rhyme or reason as to when it comes on (temperature doesn’t affect it, can come on at start up or while driving, etc). If it is on, it doesn’t turn off while driving, but is usually gone the next time I start it.
I’ve never niticed any issue with the brakes while the light was on. Has been happening for maybe three years. I figure it’s just a dirty sensor.
It’s a plow truck, so I don’t drive it too much.

I’ve had thevtruck a long while and all brakes, rotors calipers are all new. My ABS light has never came on before just now. Just want to know if there’s something wrong with the new hub assembly before I put truck back on road.
