Lager front tank in 97 F250 HD?
Hello, first post, replacing fuel tanks in recently acquired F250 HD; regular cab, long bed. For the front tank, OE part number is F6TZ9002M (16 gal tank / Dorman 576-109). There is also a 19 gal tank, OE part # F6TZ9002N (Dorman 576-146).
Can I install the larger tank in my truck? Do I need other, additional hardware? Thank you, trying to confirm fit before purchasing.
Also, does anyone make aftermarket cross members for these trucks? Lower bracket is cracked.
Tom

Thank you for your reply. It's a long bed 4x4.some reviews online of the Dorman 19g said it hit the TC. No real clear info so I bought both and will return the one I don't use. I had searched and there were no threads on this, so I'll make sure to post about it. I have the oddball year where the F250 was OBS and the F150 was the near aero design. Finding part is a PITA.

I've resigned myself to some welding / fab regarding the crossmember repair.

I cant remember. It is a bolt in crossmember so it is easy to tell.
The front 19 gallon tank strap hook to the crossmember under the rear of the cab and to the support for the crossmember .
The rear strap hooks to the crossmember that the muffler "T" hanger is attached to and the support for the crossmember
