Picked up a new to me 97 F350 CC 4X4, all stock suspension wise, with a 460. Wife has back issues so I want to soften it up a bit with SD springs.
PMF: I like the 2.5" height as 33-35's are my goal but I am hung up on the rear hanger for the shackle as not being strong. I know it is and Ford put the spring there so what am I worried about?
Sky: Just seems stronger to me with the replacement rear shackle, but is it harder to install?
The Sky spring hangers move the spring position forward. The kit that comes with them is their old kit. Their newer kit doesn't come with hangers and the spring mounting point on the rear stays in the oem place.
That said, everything I've read and heard says PMF. Brad used a prototype from them I believe so he knows his business with them. Also, PMF makes an RSK that has wider mounting points so you can switch to a SuperDuty axle.

....
You actually have that backwards. the old kit had you reuse the original rear hangers. the New kit gives you new ones(and for ALOT OF $$$)
They list one added in October last year that is only $270 and doesn't need the new hangers. And also one that has a 3 inch lift for $300 and a 5 inch lift for $450. But those last two don't state if they are for SuperDuty springs or not.

The 1st kit you showed is to use SD springs and gives new hangers(that is their "new" kit)
The 2nd kit you showed is to use SD axles.
It is funny. The "give" you the new haranguers with the 1st kit, but the 2nd kit you have to buy them separate
"We currently have conversion brake lines, sway bar mounts, pit man arm, rear shackle relocation hangers ( Ford-FSSH-001) and Super Duty axle conversion Pan hard (trac bar), part # FORD-APBSDAC-001"
My mistake. When it said axle swap I assumed it meant for F250 owners looking to go solid axle.
They still offer their original kit whick retains the OBS springs but moves the shackle to the rear. That is the one I used to mount SD springs in my truck, and it SUCKed, but that was all their was at the time till PMF came out with theirs
I guess I cant go wrong with either but PMF worked with truck owners to design a kit that gave as little lift as possible. That took some time and engineering and the cost is still low. PMF it is.

give them a call. I’m pretty sure they work from 0”-4.5”
