Blower motor resister wire

On my 1986 F250 4.9l straight 6, the blower motor resister that i got off my truck has only 3 prongs, but the new one has 4. It looks like the 4th prong was broke off my old one. What wire connects to the 4th(separate) prong & where does the wire come from? Would it come out of the blower motor itself? I don't see a wire coming from it. Thanks!

3 terminal resistor is for a truck with no A/C. 4 terminal with A/C. 4 terminal resistor has a extra connection that goes to ground.
