I had a 2016 F250 with the premium sound system and it ROCKED. Loud and clear and the sub woofer could really be felt. I recently purchased a 2018 King Ranch with the B&O audio. It sounds pretty good but I noticed it sounded like very little sound was coming from the rear of the cab. I moved the fade control all the way to the rear just to hear what was coming from the rear speakers and sub, and the sound is very low and hardly any bass at all. Do I have a problem or is this normal ?

Your problems will be solved by going to the aftermarket. A good 5 channel amp, speakers, and a better sub.
I would also suggest you stop by your local care stereo shop.
What you described is normal, the B&O is far from high end SQ. But neither was the Sony system, the higher the volume the less bass. It's a horrible setup and can be fixed by adding a digital sound control processor, tweaking the sync 3 for flat output and adding a 5 channel amp with new sub. Ironically the sound on the base sync 3 is better and cleaner from factory and easier to manipulate over the B&O optioned trucks.
Thank for the replies. I guess it's time to upgrade.
Most factory systems are just okay and none of them can compare or compete with a properly installed aftermarket system.
Remember this, when it comes to the B&O system and if you want to add an amp or amps, the first thing you must do is get an interface because the factory head unit "cannot" be removed. Currently, the only interface that`s available for B&O equipped F150`s or SD`s is the one by NAV -TV called the ZEN-A2B. Be prepared because it`s very pricey. $849.00

I find it hard to believe that the $610 option sounds worse than the stock radio.

it's no secret lol, the built in DSP in the B&O just like the previous Sony tries to limit distortion so above 20 on the volume and it starts dropping frequency and by the time you hit max volume your bass is less than it was at level 20. Its far easier on a standard Sync 3 to get cleaner frequencies.
