New subs and An Xtant Sub, Problems
Hey all...I finally went and bought my amp, an xtant 300-1a and hooked up my subs, 2 rockford fosgate 10's. I am running them on a Pioneer 4400deh. I hooked up the amp and all the wiring myself, And the amp has a red light on it, And they speakers dont sound "great".
I know the speakers arent the best either, But, They were free. Please, Someone throw me some suggestions on what i could have done wrong. PLEASE

Clarify "speakers don't sound great". Is there static or other interferance coming thorugh that is causing them to sound bad? If so try changing your grounding locatin for the amp or try adding a ground loop isolator to your system. If the speakers themselves sound like crap, try turning the power down on the amp a little. Does the amp have an internal crossover? Try turning off the "Loud" feature on your stereo. Does your stereo have a crossover for the subwoofer frequency that you can change?
