You can get a new 230A USA made LN alternator for ~$250 if your Google skills are good. I found a parts distribution website that carried the proper model# and they were considerably cheaper than everyone else. It was not a knock-off either...I called them and they confirmed that they drop ship directly from LN. It was a plug n play install.

Replaced/upgraded my alternator today to 135amp. Batts tested and were good. Started truck and amps to FICM drop to 32 then come up after a few minutes. Then stay above 45 yo 48. Before I waste money, is problem with FICM or something else? Thanks.
