how do i easily identify which alternator i have?

I can't remember exactly where it is. But somewhere on the side it will have a part number and a number followed by A. My stock one said 75A which is a 75 Amp alternator. My new Ford one says 85A which is a 85 Amp alternator. Hope this helps. I'll see when I get home if I can easily see it.
