Degree shims... depends on what type rear shaft you have.
I have a single joint at each end and if I wasn’t switching to a Double Carden shaft I would need a shim.
As much of a PITA it is to take apart it’s best to do the install and spec out your angles to see exactly what shim you may need.
I don't anticipate adding a rear sway bar at this point. Sorry I failed to specify, but my concern was over the front sway bar... a 2-3" increase in ride height, not sure where that will put the sway bar.

I also have single joints at each end. Not that much extra work to do the install and then measure/install the appropriate shims. I want to maintain drivability to the greatest degree, so doing it right is paramount. Well, within budget, which rules out upgrading to double Cardans. Maybe when the splines in the old one get sloppy...

That is the logical place to start when making suspension changes.

Pirate,
So I finally pulled the trigger on a wheel/tire combo. I settled on the Moto metal Mo970 Black with milled spoke windows in an 18x10 -24 and Nitto Ridge Grapplers 35x12.5R18LT. I like the way Smackdaddys EX sits on the same size wheel/tire with 4inches in the front and 5 inches in the rear. Would the same Procomp springs apply? What shocks would be needed at this lift. I appreciate all the help.

Rick

you would likely get the F250 kit and add a Daystar mount. If you decide to go this route I can look it up and work through the issues with you.

I did THIS MOD and it drops the upper mount point by three inches, using the factory Excursion links.
