Out of curiosity, what is the "Scheduled Maintenance" period for the 6.7l Powerstroke? I changed mine in the first couple of thousand to get break-in oil out, then have followed the oil life indicators since then. Not sure I want or need the Premium Maintenance plan (it'd have to make $$ sense), but curious to how many oil changes I might get in xx years....

I’m doing heavy service every 8000 km, or 5000 Miles. You can buy premium normal service which is 7500 Miles, 12,500 km, I think if I’m watching my Forscan that’s about when oil life will run out, if not a bit more. If you have the app it can report oil life % remaining, or you can load it with Forscan.

I believe it was 14 based on 7500 mile intervals.

I had a friend, that as part of a promotion got free oil Changes for life on his 99 7.3 PSD for the whole time he owned it. He put 550,000 miles on that truck. His Job was towing, picking up loads from Northern Ca to Southern Ca and back. He said the local dealer rolled their eyes every time he came in. Adversely, my luck is just the opposite. I bought the extended warranty on my Daughters TDI Jetta. Just recently the starter went out. The Dealer said its not covered, because it's not part of the TDI Engine. Cost $850.00 to replace. I don't have the patience or time to haggle with theses Professional Shysters!

I buy the cheap Walmart stuff. When I have the service done at the dealership they always offer to fill with a jug for $48. I say sarcastic things to the service guy for offering such stupidity.

As far as price goes, there are a couple of online places to get a quote (like flood ford esp). You can also choose from synthetic blend or full synthetic engine oil. As an example, I think the 8yr/125K (full synthetic) is around $5,900 from that site.
I tried searching with bo luck, what are “severe duty” items?

My assumption is it would follow the most restrictive of the different conditions listed in the Scheduled Maintenance section under Special Operating Conditions Scheduled Maintenance.

I ended up getting the Maintenance Plan, Ford was offering a rebate and my dealer gave my a reasonable price. My plan is every 5k miles, 100k miles or 8 years.

Service levels are oil change and filter intervals, fuel filters are same rate no matter mileage, same with all the other things included. You can also upgrade any package to synthetic oil, but I did not. My recommendation would be normal service at 12,500 km, 7500 miles, upgrade to synthetic, and as long as your keeping the vehicle, years and mileage as appropriate to get past all the expensive stuff, transmission, transfer case, both diffs, brakes are all included.

I’m at 80,000 km, my spreadsheet would say already paid for. Just got truck back from its service, oil and filter, full DEF, washer fluid, checks on both coolant tanks, fuel drain for water, tire rotation, engine air filter, cabin air filter, wipers.

Really would recommend the service package. Also, I have extra warranty as well. It’s already paid for with just the replacement of the adaptive steering heated steering wheel that was just replaced after regular warranty was up. $4000 wheel Cdn, not including install.

I bought it also, on the fence if its economically the best idea but I know before I decided to go new that having those regular logged maintenance on the Carfax definitely increased the trucks value in my eye as a buyer, so I consider it as a way to more easily document the maintenance.

I've been looking at it, but I'm not convinced. Other have pointed out that transmission, transfer case, diffs are included, but if you look at the maintenance schedule, all of these are set for over 150K miles so are the REALLY included in the plan? It says brakes are included. Does that include turning and or replacing the rotors if needed? About all I really could see was plugs, and oil changes every 5K miles. For me the plan looked to cost about $115 for each scheduled visit. That's a lot for an oil change, lube, and just a bunch of "checks". If one of the "checks" turns up a problem, is the fix covered under the plan?

Something to consider when topping the DEF . . . where I used to work, we had lots of heavy trucks, single axles up to tri-axles, F-250's, and a couple 350's and 450's which most all burn DEF..
Our mechanic had one of the F-450's which I believe was a 2018 6.7, if he was out on a service call for any period of time or had to drive to our main headquarters which was 35-40 miles round trip or chased parts when he got back to the shop he'd top off the diesel fuel and the DEF before parking it for the day. He started having little issues (can't remember exactly what but it didn't run 100%) with it and when it went in to the dealers the diesel Tech asked him a number of questions and one was how often he filled the DEF. When he told him he topped it off occasionally the Tech informed him that this was the issue of the trouble. He explained it as it had something to do with the computer getting confused as it takes readings from the fuel capacity, DEF level, miles driven, and a host of other inputs.
So the computer was trying to make heads or tails of the change of information it was given to calculate things like miles to empty, mpg's, and God knows what else and it was in a small tizzy.
In the end the Tech said "DO NOT TOP THE DEF, RUN IT UNTIL YOUR DEF GAUGE INDICATES YOUR LOW, THEN FILL IT". After running the truck until the DEF gauge indicated it was low and filling it, the truck runs like it did when brand new with no issues to date. Sorry for the long version. lol

According to my dealership it will also include things like wiper blades, tire rotations etc but I still don't think it brings the cost down considerably from an economic standpoint
