1986 ranger v-8

hey guys im posting this for my friend DJ. anyways he is looking at an 1986 ranger that has had a carburated 302, but the tranny is seized he says its an FM145, is this a stock ranger tranny? and also he says there is dana 35's underneath it (it has 36" buckshot mudders on it) so what we are wondering is if that tranny can swap directly with a c-4? would it need a new bellhousing or what? thanks again.

Mating a C-4 with a swapped 302 in a Ranger is actually one of the better setups.
