I really liked the stock size 265/70-17 Revo2 all terrain tire I ran twice, ~43k miles out of each set. Incredible in the wet and dry (tread pattern is based on a wet weather racing tire), good in the dirt too. They were very stable when towing heavy. I will need ew tires soon and am exploring other options, but I just might get a 3rd set of Revo2.
I am not a fan of BFG tires, the factory BFG a/t tires were death traps in the wet...even when new. No BFGs for me.
oh, my 07 must run a 17" wheel for brake clearance. My tires will be a 285/75r17 which i was told is a rare size. I wanted to be close to 34" tall but still narrow. we shall see how things play out.

I think this is a good size too, what I would like to go with on my 07 f250 when it’s time for new tires. Yeah, a little rare but I think they’ll fit good, about 34” and not too wide that it’ll rub or have to worry about it bein too wide for the stock wheel.
Check Walmart for pricing on that cooper xlt, my last set of cooper at3s was from there and no body could beat their price. Order online, pickup in store and go to my favorite tire shop to install.
I went with BFG Rugged Terrain in the 275/70-18. I think it's a nice tire. I hadn't had any problems with them.
On my dad's '12, he had an stock Michelin blow at 65 mph taking out the drivers fender, the inner fender, a lot of the wiring harness in the inner fender and it actually tore the metal on the running board. We're a little disappointed in a 7 year old Michelin doing that.

Both I and a friend have had failures of BFGs - his was worse than mine - tore out the whole passenger rear wheelwell and it happened twice on the same tire you just bought. I had two sets delaminate: the tread separating from the carcass, but mine were the BFG AT KOs (and I caught it before they flew apart). Both my friend and I were towing heavy, but within rated limits. We both went to Coopers and each are happy campers with them...
BTW: you do know that Michelin owns BFG, right? Something has happened with BFG, they used to be a good tire. My wife and I had full boat sponsorship with them and they supported their racers very well - the discount they gave us on the non-race tires had us butting BFGs on everything we owned. So, was a grateful and big fan of theirs in the 90's and then mid-2000s had to walk away...

Maybe if you don't load them up you'll be fine...

I did NOT know that. I'm kind of dumfounded on that. I found these on Tire Rack and we have one local to us. It seemed to be the best tire (Customer Reviews) for the money. Honestly, they don't have many miles on them. I'll end up replacing them due to age instead of miles.

Not to worry -- if you load them up, they might go before years or miles! My first set delaminated with about 9k on them, second set at 11K. My friend's passenger rear went the second time (it was a brand new tire) with a couple hundred miles on it...
Cooper Discoverer ATP here. 285/70/16 with 12k miles. Very pleased. Quiet, good rain traction. Can't speak for snow yet or offroad for that matter. They do look like they're wearing prematurely but they have a 55k warranty, unlike the KO2's I had last time around with no warranty that only lasted 15k and cost $400 more. The steering also tracks much better than the KO2's, which tended to wander all over the road.

It's the rugged terrain tires that separated on me and damaged my bedside. Michelin said my warranty was void because the tire had a patch. Middle of the tread done by their reseller. Wount pay a dime. That truck was perfect and had never been in an accident.

Edt: just FYI, they were 3ish years old and had 70-80% tread left. Had less than 15k miles on them iirc

Age was the reason I replaced them. The guy I got the tires from strongly suggested it. Originally I told him no based on mileage. He said he would give me the "number to a good body man." Now I see what he means with what happened to my dads. I did replace them of course. I think they are actually older than 3 years and probably have 85-90% tread left. I'm not sure. But it's not my daily.
I know this isn't my thread but just to bring back up to make a point. Just today I had replace one of those BFG Rugged Terrain's because it was getting a bubble on the tread. I noticed a vibration in the rear after I had the rear pinion seal changed. I thought it was the driveshaft but hadn't had time to check. At almost 2 hours away from home today and I notice the big bubble. I'll be replacing all of these BFG's very soon. I'm just VERY glad I caught it in time.
