P0193 code

I have a 2004 Ford Explorer Sport Trac V6 3L cut the p0193 code I am wondering since it's not having a problem starting or idling could it be the fuel filter I only have a problem when I'm driving down the road at a high speed 45 or higher and it sputters a little bit when I press on the gas.

I would suggest just replacing the fuel filter as general maintenance. I think there supposed to be done every 30-40K miles

It would be unusual for a restricted fuel filter to cause a P0193 as that code is typically set by either too high of a fuel pressure or a faulty fuel rail pressure sensor. When is the last time you replaced the spark plugs and plug wires? Have you ever cleaned the MAF sensor?
