Well I had a productive day in spite of the bitter cold temperatures here on the prairies.
Doors off and cab braces tacked in.
Driver's side hinge pillar
Passenger side hinge pillar
John's idea to use the engine crane worked awesome to take off the cab....was a little stubborn though
Driver's side cab mount gave a lot of grief
Passenger side body mount didn't put up as much of a fight
Frame exposed and now to clean the front half. Then clean up my workspace....I know, I know.....it's a mess.

More frame cleaning pictures. The lower rad stone guard is in very good shape and will just need a good cleaning and repaint.
Bottom side of front frame, I still need to remove all the bumpers and front leaf brackets.
Bottom side of mid frame. The C channel pieces (at the left side of pic and in previous pic) I think are for a trans mount, they will be cut off. Will need to straighten the body mount bracket, got a little bent getting the cab off.
Bottom side of rear frame. I left the leaf on to index the mount holes for the TCI rear suspension. Will wait to remove cross brace until I have the TCI shock mount cross brace installed.

Frame still needs the second front brace and master cylinder plate removed but getting close for suspension mock up.
Needed to change up a little so I started wire wheeling the cab to strip off the boxliner from the roof and a layer of bondo. Cab will need a little bit of hammer and dolly work. The real work will be on the floors and corners.

Saturday progress made, cab roof stripped down. The faux black vinyl (truck box liner) came off with a wire wheel and a lot of time/work.
Rear of cab stripped.
Front of cab roof stripped.
Frame ready for the front TCI crossbrace to be welded in.

Life has been happening and I haven't a lot of time to work on the truck but did get some things done. The pics show the rear leaf spring suspension brackets finally on and the shock absorber mounting brace installed.
L side front leaf spring brace for rear suspension.
L side rear leaf spring brace for rear suspension.
Shock absorber mounting brace in place. Waiting for warmer weather to marine wash, rust convert, and then paint the frame.
