What's it worth

Four years ago I got on here about my 1972 F250 Sport Custom 4X4 and was thinking about selling it cause it had sat for 20 years but I took it for a drive and could not sell it and did some work on it but it has again sat for the three years it has been done and it is really time to sell it now to someone that will get it out and use it.
The truck history:I bought the truck as the third owner in 1980 and drove it thru high school till 1985 and it then sat and did not get used but did get started regularly, in 1982 I built a nice 390 for it with all the hotrod parts of the day then four years ago I brought it in the garage and took it apart and replaced replaced alot. This is what I did
removed 4 speed installed TCI streetfighter C6 Trans
high tork starter
high volume water pump
new alternator
voltage regulator
rebuilt radiator,original
cap,rotor,plugs,wires...mallory dual point
high volume fuel pump
new hoses,belts...heater,fuel,water,trans,radiator
new autometer gagues
new seat apulstry
new ford repo steering wheel
new carpet kit
new shocks
rebuilt and new drivelines
partial new exhaust
new shifter
new brakes,everything new...every piece,springs,clips,wheelcyliners
new air cleaner
all new stainless allen head bolts in motor exterior
repainted everything
Motor was built long ago but is in great running condition and has aprox 40000 miles on it and truck will burn the tires any time I want. If I was going to drive it regularly I would put Edelbrock aluminum heads on it and that would be about it.
I am attemting to load pics but if they do not load I will get them in a seperate post.
Taking all that into concideration I need help with the value of it, I am not trying to retire off it I just want to come up with a price that is fair to me and whoever may buy it.
What are some opoinions as to the value of it?

Hi Rip,
i was on the hunt for one the last 5 years and finally found one. So I have some idea of how they price out. At least what I’d pay for one. The problem is they actually fluctuate so much and I really need to see a picture. Color can make a difference. I’ve also found that replacing all that stuff upgraded or not probably won’t give you a good ROI. Also, is it original cab and frame? Does it still have door vin data tag?

One thing that may help is do a search on eBay motors and choose “closed” as a filter option and you will see trucks that didn’t sell and those that actually did.

The only thing that has been changed on the truck is the two front fenders and grill, cab and frame is original with vin tag in the door.

why were the fenders replaced? The pics aren’t real clear but I’d guess between $12-15k. Even though I prefer Auto due to knee issues it’s been my experience that the manual is more desirable. If you hold out maybe up to $17k. But this is just my opinion. Like I said you can check out the sell/no sell history on eBay.

At one point I had 38 inch tires on it and both front fenders were trimmed to clear the tires and when I put it back to stock ride height I replaced the fenders.
I did get on Ebay and looked at the sold trucks and that did help alot, thanks.
I was thinking about 12K and like I said I want to come up with a price that is fair for all. I have it stored in my garage now so it is out of the sun but it is just sitting again and it needs to have someone that will use and enjoy it not just work around it in the garage.
I also have all the original parts(trans, bellhousing ,clutch, etc) so it could be put back to a four speed with the original parts.

well it’s a nice truck and always rare to find one original cab and not rusted out. Good luck.
