I have a 2017 ford f250, went to change the fuel filters upper changed no problem. the lower one which is a water separator, keep draining fuel, never stopped. I have about 2 gallons of diesel fuel. Videos don't show this problem

There's another thread from within the past week that discusses this same problem. A couple work arounds are in that thread.
That would be 3 turns on the main fuel filter housing cap to engage a check valve. Then open the drain, close when it stops draining, remove the housing cap and replace the filter.
The OP has a 2017 truck with the new rectangular shaped fuel filter so there's no round fuel filter housing anymore to unscrew to activate the fuel shut off valve.
I've had my '14 Lariat for a little more than a month now. I changed all the filters when I got it home. I was wondering if it was normal for the fuel to drain for as long as it did. Thanks guys for the info.

Unsrewing the filter housing 3 turns allows to break the vacuum and consequential fuel draw from tank, generated during drain.
