Question Window/Stereo Fuse Issue

My power windows and stereo stopped working on my 2001 F-150 XLT, i figured it was a fuse. I changed the fuse and it started working right away. My issue now is it works all the time even when the key is not inserted. Any suggestions on what the issue is?

have you noted other problems with the electrical system ? The PCM computer under the steering column , under the windshield have had some leakage problems and the computer shorts out inside and causes problems....... any water on the floor ? damp carpet after it rains ?

I haven’t noticed any wetness on the floor. It spends most of its time parked in the garage.

Is it both the windows and the radio that are working, or just one or the other (or have you noticed any other accessories that stay on, such as the blower motor)? If it's both, it's probably the ignition switch. Try working the key back and forth, in the off position only without switching to on or accessory, to see if that gets it to turn off. If it does, you're looking at a new key cylinder.

In the fuse box there is an accessory delay relay that powers the radio and windows for 10 minutes after the key is turned off, or until a door is opened. If that relay fails you won't get power to the radio or windows. Fuse 110 (30-amp) powers the relay.
